Which curtain fabric does not contain formaldehyde

1. Cotton

Cotton curtain fabrics are plant fibers with good air permeability and comfortable hand feeling; however, the fabrics made of this material are easy to wrinkle, fade easily, have poor elasticity, and are prone to mildew.

2. Hemp

It is also a kind of plant fiber, similar to cotton fabric, with smooth and smooth surface, good air permeability, strong moisture absorption and heat dissipation. The fabric of this material has good mold resistance and good water resistance, but has low sensitivity to acid and alkali.

3. Wool fabric

The woolen fabric is strong and wear-resistant, and the surface of the fiber is protected by scales, which makes the fabric wear-resistant and hard. Light weight, good warmth retention; good elasticity, wrinkle resistance; strong moisture absorption, not easy to fade. However, it is prone to insects in a wet state, it is difficult to wash, and it will be deformed after washing, so it can only be dry-cleaned.

4. silk

Silk fabric has good luster, soft fabric and good moisture absorption. However, it shrinks and is easy to wrinkle, and it needs to be stored with special attention. Acid detergent should be used for washing.

5. Polyester

High strength and elasticity, not only durable but also anti-wrinkle, low moisture absorption, easy to wash and dry quickly. However, the permeability and melting resistance are poor.

6. Nylon

Nylon has strong abrasion resistance, good moisture absorption, and better comfort and dyeability than polyester fabrics. Light texture, good elasticity and recovery, poor heat resistance and light resistance.

What kind of curtains do not choose

1. Don't choose curtains with complex patterns. Such curtains will increase the printing and dyeing process in the production process. In order to better maintain the shape of the curtains, manufacturers often add some formaldehyde which has anti-wrinkle and color-fixing effects. 2. Do not choose the color that is too bright/deep. When making curtains, if you want to make the color very bright, you need to add a lot of chemical components, such as formaldehyde. If the color is darker, you need to add more fuel.

3. Don’t choose fabrics that are too thick. If the curtains are thick, the more printing and dyeing materials will be needed in the production process, so the possibility of formaldehyde will be greater.
