Practical washing tips for curtains when the seasons change

Cotton and linen curtains: can be washed directly in the washing machine; in addition to using washing powder, it is best to add a little fabric softener to make the curtains softer and smoother after washing; fabrics that are easy to shrink should be dry cleaned as much as possible.

Lace Curtains: Curtains decorated with lace are not suitable for heavy cleaning. Gently sweep with a soft brush to remove surface dust before cleaning.

Flannel curtains: Flannel curtains have a strong vacuuming power. After dismantling, you should shake the curtains with your hands, so that the surface dust attached to the flannel will fall off naturally, and then soak them in water containing detergent for about 15 minutes. It is best not to wash the flannel curtains with a washing machine, and it is recommended to filter the water with light pressure by hand. After washing, do not wring out too much, so that the water will automatically drip dry.

Blinds: Blinds can be cleaned directly. Spray an appropriate amount of water on the curtains and wipe dry with a rag. If the drawstrings of the blinds are dirty, they can be cleaned with a damp cloth moistened with detergent. Due to the material and spray paint, the blinds are more prone to fading, so be careful not to expose them to the sun.

Roller blinds: Roller blinds are generally difficult to disassemble, so they can only be cleaned with detergent directly on the roller blinds. When cleaning, special attention should be paid to the places around the roller blinds that are easy to absorb dust. If there is too much dust, you can use a soft brush to remove the dust, and then wipe it with clean water. You can also spray some polish to keep the roller blinds clean for a longer time.

Finally, try not to dehydrate and dry the curtains after cleaning, and air-dry them naturally, so as not to damage their texture; curtains of special materials, it is best to send them to dry cleaners for washing to prevent deformation.
